Had a precious old elderly couple looking for something lighter as she was having a knee replacement. They purchased a Panasonic and promised to bring their Hoover self propelled vacuum in as a trade-in. When I got back to the store today, the couple had left their almost mint condition Dial-a-matic powerdrive with us. All bearings are perfect, brush roll is beautiful, and the transmission is like new!

To add to the unique-ness of this machine, it was actually purchased new from this same store.

This one definitely goes on the wall of fame in the store!!

OMG, even the tools are in immaculate shape, other than the top cover of the handle on the hose. And somehow you just know that this machine and these tools were heavily used over the years, but also well taken care of.

I'm a little ashamed that as someone that covets vacs, my daily drivers are barely in this good of shape and are far newer.

one question though, how do you repair the handgrip on teh hose? Is it just glued into place?
