Hey all! I'm trying to make some room in the closet for the new year, so I'm letting a couple of my nicer machines go! Starting out with this beautiful Eureka ESP, it's in near perfect condition and runs like it just rolled off of the line. As far as I know this was a bit nicer model than the 2091, with the chrome handle and heavier hand grip. I'm not entirely sure on how to disassemble this machine for shipping, but I'm more than certain I can figure it out

These great Eureka Rugulator uprights were shipped in a square cubed carton. Though the handle has wires going from the motor base to the handle switch, you can still unscrew the two handle parts from the base and from each other for shipping. There is enough cord inside the handle to take it apart without any stress on the internal cord. It’s shipped with the full internal cord connected and ready for use. When you opened the original carton, you saw the two parts of the handle stored diagonally across the top of the package (in a form-fitted styrofoam piece). The bag was also shipped disconnected from the base - this can easily by unscrewed from the base. If I remember correctly, our Rugulator Cordaway deluxe 2083 upright was shipped in a box that was probably 15” x 15” x 15” high. Or maybe slightly larger…20 x 20 x 20 inches.

That helps a lot it would make sense for them to be able to be broken down for easy shipping, I'll have to refer to this when someone claims it!

You’re welcome! The only other bit of shipping advice I would give is to make sure the motor base is resting on a nice cushion of protective material so the four wheels don’t break if the box is dropped. Sliding the Rugulator to its lowest setting will retract the front wheels sufficiently. But if it’s easy to do, maybe the rear wheels should be removed before packing the vacuum. I learnt this from our friend Roger Sensotronic in the UK (Thanks Roger)!!!

Oops! Did not see that your Eureka is a Dial-a-Nap….should have said: set the Dial-a-Nap to its lowest setting to retract the front wheels before shipping.
