I am wondering about the tilted Hoover Constellations. I read here the first was in 1967. I have a tilted version in white and orange labeled Penncrest for JCPenney. I did a search on Google Newspapers and found an ad from 1965 that looks like my cleaner. So were the first tilted Constellations actually Penncrests?

the model 87 was NOT tilted and neither was any model 86. the 858 in taupe and yellow was the first titled connie. they didnt make many tilted connie models as it was near the end of the prodcution years for it.

I just thought maybe the tilted version was created for Penncrest, as the ad says 1965, and I didn't know Hoover had them that early.

Constellations are one of my favorite vacuums, they look so neat and how they float is awesome. I also really like how they sound, my favorite Hoover canister for sure.
