Since around 1997 or so, I have been on the search for a specific Hoover Convertible. The model U4335. I have searched high and low...flea markets, eBay, this forum...everywhere literally. I have always came up at a dead end. I joined this forum in 2013 and stumbled upon an old post from 2008 where a member posted that he was starting his vacuum collection with this model...and it included pics. He hasn't been active on the forum since around that time and I had no way of know contact information.
Well an amazing thing happened two or three nights ago. I finally tracked this former member down and contacted him via email. Seeing as his post was from 2008, I figured it was a long shot in the dark. I waited patiently and eventuall I received an email back stating he was that member that posted the Convertible. He also stated that he still had it!!!! And that since I was tracking that model down, he would make a deal with me.
So, I should be receiving this machine soon! And what a pleasant and easy guy to deal with. I am overjoyed to have finally found the machine I thought I would never have. This specific model has good memories for me and was part of my vacuum fascination. This wait till took many many years, but friends, in the end every second was worth it! Here are a couple of pics he sent me. I will post more to this thread when it arrives!!!
