Okay so i bought a used Filtropur and it arrived today. It's a rather strange vacuum the dirt cup always stays in a vertical position it reclines as you lean the handle back There is some sort of wire in there between the cup and the nozzle that forces it into the vertical position

So far i'm not overly impressed with it but odds are i will hold onto it because of it's uniqueness. It has a King Clean motor in it (same brand used in Shark and Eurekalux (at least the versatility) Which is dissapointing for such an expensive vacuum. It did manage to pick some sand out of the carpeting i'm guessing that's more due to the brushroll on it though.

That's one interesting vacuum. When you go onto the Filtropur website, though, it looks cheap. And if memory serves correct, wasn't this company sued by Filter Queen back a few years ago for supposedly copying Filter Queen's filter cone design? Makes me wonder how much longer Filtropur will be around....

I remember

When i was still job hunting stopping in to the local aerus dealer to see if they still do Demos i was told that they don't perform demo's in this area anymore but they had another company that was related to "health" my first thought was filter queen so the owner takes me around the back of the building to another building where i'm guessing their trainer introduced me to the filtropur. I was told that it was created by someone who left Filter Queen due to the shoddy build quality of the newer models which is ironic because the motor in here is cheap.

I wouldn't bother with it - having just seen the video link you've supplied here, it does look too bulky for its own good. I can't imagine what the company were thinking by putting that bin to the side. When the machine is being used for cleaning carpets, it just doesn't look like its that easy to use. Good luck to them!
