Filter Queen - What filters do I need?

I am wondering if anyone here can help me with a Filter Queen Majestic that someone in my family acquired. It came with just a thin paper filter in it, so we ordered some paper filters online, but we are not sure what else we may need. We printed a manual off the internet where it mentions 2 other filters, but does not clearly show where they go. Do we need to unscrew the plastic protector over the motor to get to the other filters? The machine works fine otherwise. I have never seen one of these before, or known anyone who has one. Any information would be helpful, the filters just seem complicated.

Filter queen filters

There are two you need to most likely replace besides the paper cone filter in the bin. First there is a disc filter under the plastic cone that the cone filter rests on.At the tip of the plastic cone you will find a screw remove it and screw off the cone.you will find a disc filter at the motor inlet held in by a plastic ring replace this filter every few months.
There is also a dome filter located in the top the machine surrounding the vent holes.This filter is most likely disintegrated and clogged, to get to it open the top blower cap and remove the three screws and lift up on the machine top the filter ring will be under the card board ring replace with new filter and your machine will run like new.

Thanks for the information, greatly appreciated. Do you happen to know if the newer models of Filter Queen have more direct connect to the power nozzle and hose. On the model my niece has you have to bend and manually unplug the power nozzle to put on the floor brush. I find that pretty annoying as I have seen many other machines that have a sort of foot release that you just put your foot on and pull, and the power nozzle releases. Also on the other end, there is this long cord hanging while you are trying to use the dusting brush etc. not a very good design. I am wondering if later models did away with this? I will try what you outlined with the filters, as I expected this machine to have more power than it does, I think my Tri star has better suction.
