Well.....I'm no expert on Filter Queens (and maybe that's the problem) but I think the newer style PN looks great and probably functions better than the old? If I'm using and old LUX, I use a modern LUX hose. Doesn't look 'period' but works and lasts much better. The old cloth hoses were beautiful, but they weren't the greatest. Even the Diamond Jubilee we bought new....you had to store the hose just in the right position so it wouldn't deform. To me anyway, half the fun of these old vacs is using them..... Kevin
