I recently came across this poll of favorite USA TV maids/housemothers at

http://tvaholics.blogspot.com/2012/08/tv-poll-who-is-your-favorite-tv-maid.html

and wondered what vacuum cleaners they used? Does anyone know? How about other TV maids or butlers?

P. S. I'd vote for Hazel!

RESULTS:

ALICE (Brady Bunch)
3 (20%)

HAZEL (Hazel)
0 (0%)

FLORENCE (Jeffersons)
8 (53%)

BERTA (2 1/2 Men)
0 (0%)

ROSEY (Jetsons)
1 (6%)

Mrs. Garrett (Diff. Strokes)
1 (6%)

FLORIDA (Maude)
1 (6%)

MRS. NAGUATUCK (Maude)
1 (6%)

Florence all the way! She fell asleep vacuuming with a pale yellow Hoover.
Don't remember Mr. Belvedere using a vacuum but I didn't watch the show that much.

Re Florence..

I never will forget the time she dressed as a 1800s slave and called George massa, because he gave her a hard time about something or another..My Daddy rolled on the floor!!LOL

Funny how the "Davidson" machine has an early-style Model LX rug nozzle!

I vaguely remember something about that machine, that it wasn't a real vacuum cleaner but one made by the Prop Department.

<span style="font-size: medium; font-family: verdana, geneva;">What, no <span style="text-decoration: underline;">ROSARIO</span>?! She was the best maid ever, especially because she back-talked Karen all the time!</span>

No Tony Micelli (Who's the Boss), Charles (Charles in Charge), Benson Dubois (SOAP and Benson), Edna Garrett (Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life), Nell Carter (Gimmie a Break!), Lurch (The Addams Family), and Aunt Bee (The Andy Griffith Show)
