Favorite metal body Electrolux

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

The old green Electroluxes are pretty, I never found one in good shape otherwise I would love to have one. But in reality my Miele Callisto is everything I could ever want in a Vacuum and more.

How about the one that started it all? I'll take a Lux model V with detatchable runners. If you're gonna dream, might as well dream big right? ;-)

mine is either a turquoise G with PN1 which I dnt have, or the brand new Olympia that I do own

I'm going to have to go for the Commemorative Edition (sold mine off several years back), the black and bright silver accents were adorable.

My second favorite would be the Ultralux with the blue body. That Blue color really works on that model.

A slight drift, but my favorite plastic body is the light baby blue and white.

My Silverado! But I am sure that will change when I find an Olympia One, or Super J. I like the Super J style machines.

Favorite all metal lux

Mine would be any of the 80 series Canadian Luxes. Next on my list would be the blue colored Ultralux Classic model 1521 series.

Well, if I could ever get the bag ejector on my LX to work, then that would be my favorite. I'm easily entertained and that would be fun to see! In lieu of that,I would have to say my cream/turquoise Model L. It's hard to explain but the motor just has "presence".

Mine Is...

A turquoise Electrolux Model G. (I don't currently have one in my collection.)

I'm finding (even though this is a post in the Contemporary Forum), that my liking for Electroluxes is lending itself toward the more vintage machines, such as what were sold prior to the 1205 revolution. Although I do like the color of the 1205, I like the old lux canisters.

I know I am digressing here, but I'd love to have a late Model AF (like my grandma Jeannette had), a Model R, and, of course, a turquoise G, like I mentioned earlier.

For some reason, the Model E (even though that was the vacuum my mom had when she first got married), doesn't appeal to me. It's too similar to the Model L, and I'm not crazy about the hammertone paint.

My second favorite is my blue Model L. I agree with you, eurekastar, the L's motor just has a certain "je ne sais quoi" about it. I did once have a cream/turquoise L, but sadly, when I tried to repair it, I broke the fan unit.

Id have to say ...

the blue Model L, or the Olympia. I to love the chocolate brown and cream. Even though blue is my favorite color.
