Fair Price for Miele

I've been looking for a Miele canister. A guy is offering one to me that sounds decent. He says he bought it 14 years ago for $700. He said it is a bit scuffed up, but he says it has the attachments, and the powerhead works fine. He doesn't know what it's worth. What should I pay? I was thinking $65 but i'm not sure.

A bit off topic but...

I just went onto ebay.com - there's a ton of old Miele vacs bearing similar series model numbers and even newer ones

Bear in mind the S300 uses the brown paper dust bags.
