Hey
I got my refund on the eureka. I wasn't to happy about it but what do you do. I have been wondering if a franken eureka is possible.
I would want self propelled eureka. I'd want a wide track version. The last one is the kicker I'll get comments on. The 6 amp eureka I'm assuming evolved and basically the 7 amp motor. If the 6 amp is the older version of the 7 amp motor then there is an 8.5 eureka sanitaire motor. I would like a blue base. I'd use my 667 blue line aluminum hood and the handle off the 667 with power switch on the handle. The self propelled would probably make either hood or the handle useless.
The end machine a self propelled wide mouth eureka/sanitaire blue base aluminum hood and the 8.5 amp motor.
I know it's more than overkill on the motor. My eureka imperial pulled 143 CFMs and 667 pulled 142 CFMs with the 7 amp motor. The 16" brush roll is 25% bigger than 12" roller. The motor is 21% larger than 7 amp.
The bigger motor to keep 16" performing near 142 CFMs.
Is this a possible dream. I know some people think it's overkill. Im asking is it possible and if so what is needed.

Yes

It will be. I'll be saving my pennies to buy everything. Im guessing close to $200. The motor 55 for vacuum,$30 for self propelled motor, $35-50 for a housing, miscellaneous parts make up the rest.
