Eureka Williams introduced the "Whisk" hand & portable vacuum cleaner in 1964, a year after debuting its Lightweight stick vacuum. Both used the same motor.
These take Style "E & R" bags. I am guessing that the double letter ID may be the result of combining the Whisk bags & the Model 120 3-in-1 Stick/Hand/Portable vac bags at some point.
Two versions of the "Whisk" were sold in succession: the first was designed for handling or carrying, and the second for pulling or carrying. The latter is a G-E rebrand; AB Electrolux, who owned Eureka, must have bought the patent rights from Premier or Black & Decker in 1982.
I found no photos of the 160-A; although it seems that the only difference between it and the 165-A is that optional tools were available for purchase rather than being included.
Eureka Line-Up with intro years (color names are conjectural based on those ID'd with other brand models):
150-A—1964—3.0A—Style E & R bag—Lagoon Blue/Platinum Blue
155-A—1977—2.7A—Style E & R bag—Big Bad Orange/Beige
SP-709 (Montgomery Ward)
SP-710A (Montgomery Ward)—3.0A—Lagoon Blue/Platinum Blue
160-A—1982—?—Style W bag—?
165-A—1982—3.3A—Style W bag—15-foot cord—Shadow
G-E & Premier Line-Up (disposable & washable bags; 22-foot long cords); aftermarket Home Care Products, Inc. S-39 bags
MV-1—1964—Gray
MV-2—1968—Celery/Moss Green (white w/blue trim, too?); Premier branded from 1972
MV-3—1970—Rust/Pongee
