Hello its me again! I was wondering if any one out there had a eureka superlite vacuum. I don't want the green and white versions. I would like one of the ones in the pictures. Any info is wanted. Tanks in advances!

I had a yellow Supralite or whatever they call them today.

Its not a very good vacuum or quick pick up machine. The "filter" clogs constantly restricting airflow. They are amazingly noisy. The handle mechanism slowly wears out causing you to no longer use the machine. And the brushroll doesn't really agitate the carpet.

On the plus side, after I retired it from my home, it lasted in my garage until I finally chucked it from dry bearings and a cracked bin. So it is durable and picks up asphalt dust very well. If you clean the filter often then there's almost no smell that comes out of the machine.

I'm not saying you shouldn't acquire the machine. I suppose it can do all right for quick pick up, but it's just so bulky that I typically just ran for a full sized vacuum. Your opinion may vary.

I didn't hate the vacuum... I just think it's better used for someone who needs a garage vacuum or really does think it's quicker to use than a full sized vacuum.

I had the yellow one in the UK. I thought it was brilliant for a little mini upright and unlike so many others, this one had a brush roll on and off function. It did actually fill up to capacity and I adored the serrated edge scraper on the outer part of the bin for scraping the dry material filter clean.

I also loved the fact that it had an easy to remove clear inspection channel plate by the sole plate. The bristles were yellow and soft to the touch and they didn't do a bad job of cleaning up. It isn't as noisy as the Z411A model though IMHO.

I think they are neat-they remind me of a toy vacuum and the tiny brushroll motor runs on DC. I have one I bought at a sale but need to get a filter for it. I cleaned it all out as they used it with no filter. They are way too loud though, IMO. I saw another version the other day that is silver and has a hose on the side.

I have had a couple of them but sold them both. I thought they were pretty weak, and very noisy. Terrible filtration as well. I think the Dirt Devil and Hoover versions are much better machines. Better cleaning and filtration, and not so cheap feeling.

I had the yellow one & no matter how careful I was there would be dirt flying out the side exhausted. Then the black flap broke not to long after I got it, so up in the attic it went. I got a second had Oreck silver which did a much better job for what I needed at the time.

If you want to see a good video on how these things clean, miele7 made a video of it on his youtube channel.
