Hi everybody. I'm having a hard time trying to get this motor off a 2002 eureka litespeed so I can get the entire vacuum cleaned up. Has anyone had problems with these before?

I did it! It has a unusual rubber gasket twist design to take the motor off .

Now how do I take the cord off?

I would presume that the plug is a press-fit into the housing and you would need to lift the one end of it up (the one that is narrower and not hinged) and out of the housing and pivot the other side out and then push it through to the exterior of the vacuum.

Huskyvacs, I did how that worked since yesterday. I tooked a pair of pliers and twisted and pulled out the cord and just gave all the plastic parts a spa treatment.
It really needed to be cleaned.
