I have a light blue Eureka Express power nozzle that goes with the Eureka Express canister my mom bought new in '84 or '85 and would like to use it with my central vacuum. I'm wondering if the Roto-Matic p/n cleans better than the Express p/n.

I think the Express p/n may need a new motor since it will not turn on but it still has its original VGIII brush roll in it, which is in good shape. I haven’t used the Express Canister in close to 15 years but I remember it was a workhorse, and was always amazed with how much dirt would be packed into the bag when it was full. My mom LOVED this vacuum and she certainly got her moneys worth out of it, it was used and abused for many years! From what I remember the power nozzle cleaned and groomed the carpet very nicely. I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on the different power nozzles.

Express vs. Roto-Matic

both are very good PNs; however the VGIII on the Express gets out pet hair better due 2 its 4-brush agitator & beater bars; the VGII (Roto-Matic) gets deeper dirt out of carpets b/c it has steel beater bars. When I change brush rolls on a TriStar/Compact, I put the VGII on instead of wooden roller & it cleans better than the wood brisle roller.
