Hey guys, I'm looking for a Eureka expert. I have had my Eureka 2088A since last August, and I was just wondering if it has the original bag on it. I found a picture of one similar to it online, although it has the rugulator instead of the Dial-A-Nap. The reason I am wondering about this is because the bag on it right now does not have a Eureka logo, a sticker or a tag anywhere on it. :/
Here is a picture of mine. (Before I repainted the handle)

Thanks!
Daniel

im kinda thinking not......

ive seen your model before with that same wild moss bag.......and i can tell your bag is a replacemnt because, in the late 70's eureka bags had a diffrent cut.....when you look at the back of the machine, you might notice that your bag is rather squared in the corners on the bottom, and may have plastc bellows and fill tube. the orginal should have had a bag that was more rouned at the bottom, and had a canvus (fabric) bellows and a seprate plastic short belllow typical of the earley and late 70's machine......the plastic bellow machines wernt around till the 80's

well then....

that could possibly be........im kinda confuzzeld as well=/.......you woulnt bi chance know how to date a eureka upright, to know the year?....

if not this is how.....

on the bottom of the base, theres a little what i like to call a "nipple" imbossed in the base, with 2 numbers in it.....for example if the two numbers were 78 that means that particualr upright was made in 1978, also note there ahve been a few select machine that dont even have the nipple......for what reason i dont know...

heres a pic to hopefully guide you=)

and that bag.....

is rounded, what i was think as squarede is alot more boxy than that...

like this later Eureka from the 80's

I sure do know how to date them ;) The machine was made in 1978 according to the little nipple on the bottom of it. This bag is just so strange. It looks like it was original, although there isn't any sight of a Eureka logo, a tag, or a sticker. Hmmm... Im stumped.

How to date mine???

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Hi Guys,</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">How do I date mine?  It's a model 674A.  It has an information sticker on the bottom.  The base is plastic.  The last two digits of the serial # are 88.  Does that mean it was made in '88?</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"> </span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">The green bag looks exactly like mine.  The pattern was called "wild moss."  I have a picture of it posted on the thread <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Daily drivers</span>, along with many of my other vacs.</span>

<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Any info you can give is greatly appreciated.</span>
