Eureka easy glide

Wow! A Eureka Easy-Glide in real life! I've only seen the groovy advertising post-card with the mod/hip lady using it on an orange shag rug in her bachelorette pad. Very Mary Tyler Moore. I say early 1970's, maybe late 1960's. This was Eureka's answer to GE's electric carpet sweeper - the disposable bag is located right in the base. Probably did a pretty good job on surface litter since the air path is so short. I mean, the bag is right behind the brush roll!

This is completely different from the Emperor model, which was made by Panasonic and used type P bags. This machine uses type T bags (I have a good quantity of those bags) and was made by Eureka in response to the Whirlpool-built Kenmore 'bag in base' models that were out at the time.

More information gleaned from the internet: it's Model 210 from 1968. Weighs only 12.5 lbs. Above-the-floor attachment set for this upright was also available as an option. It's all on the back of that famous advertising postcard found on the internet.

Ok, question....

I see from the two pictures in this thread that the Eureka Easy Glide takes style "T" bags.  I found these bags in a thrift store, I believe they were made by Eureka due to the bag material, and the printed script, also the Sanitized logo.  But they were in a plain clear package with a Western Auto price tag on them, but I have a feeling they are Eureka style T bags.... Can anyone confirm or deny that? Also if they are not, can any of the old timers tell me what they are for?

Yes Eurekaprince I realize that....

But since there is no indication of style on the bag, or bag package, I am trying to find out if these are Style T bags.

Those ARE style T Eureka bags. Very lucky find. My type T bags have the Eureka logo printed on them. Probably they didn't put the logo on the bags if they were sold at Western Auto or Montgomery Wards and such places.

That is a very wide vacuum! It reminds me of a casino or hotel lobby vacuum - so it could cover a lot of area in a small time.

PS: Hello fellow husky :3

Hmm

It's like the canned ham eureka roto vacs under the hood of a eureka upright. Definitely cool.

I guess you could say...

That this was kind of like a decades earlier version of the Eureka built Electrolux Intensity. Short air path to the bag and all!
