I’m trying to get it back together properly.
I took the hinge on the lid off. The photo is the inside of the hinge.
The silver 3 sided wire is supposed to connect with a slot in the plastic end of the hose.
It does, barely, and the wire is somewhat loose within the hinge part because it is not fastened down inside of it.
Is the 3 sided silver wire retention part installed right in the photo? Is this the correct position for this 'hose retention wire'?
Seems like there should be a way to lock it into place and I cannot see one.
It just sits there and it is therefore loose.

I am not that mechanically adept at these things, but by looking at the photo, maybe the wire hose retainer stays in place once you screw the plastic panel back onto the metal body?
