Also, Is it a dump bag system on these Hoovers or what exactly is the "Built in Debris Trap"?

Is it just a heavy fabric bag on these or? I bet that is one mean rug beater!

About what year were these made? Im assuming late 70s or early 80s?
 
I have the 5515 panasonic someplace. I can see why it rated the lowest however it's still pretty good. It's all red and is the body type of the early panasonic 663 style
 
I have the red PANA Commercial upright MC6640, not sure what year it is. googling MC5510 shows a newer canister.

I have neither, but I discovered some online photos of the Eureka model-type C2057-A and captured a couple Panasonic MC-5510 ads (1982 & 1990) in case you're interested in seeing some of their details. The 6.5A Eureka motors were introduced in or around 1982 according to newspaper ads & the lack of top vents indicates a pancake motor.
