Found an Electrolux Epic 6000 SR at Goodwill for $10. Took it apart and cleaned everything inside, the bag housing, wires, control valve, cord reel, motor, etc.
Put it back together, used the hose and power nozzle from my Aerus Lux Classic, It works wonderfully well. But, it had this weird little noise so tore it apart again and replaced the bearings in the motor and since I had it apart also cleaned the fans. Put everything back together again, it sounds a lot better. Everything on it functions as it should.

I hope you enjoy this machine we bought one, I believe its is one model back in 1997 and my wife loves it. It replace a Royal Pony 501 we bought in 1981, it had an unfortunate accident, in was cleaning at the top of the basement steps and pulled to hard and the poor horsey fell down the steps and got a big dent in the side and must have done something to the fan bearing cause it ran very rough and slow when I plugged it back in. The few vac shops we had in Easton PA had already closed so had no where back then to get help fixing it. So I had to shoot it.
