Electrolux XXX with storage box & accessories (Rotterdam NY)

Hi strictlybojack.

That 's a later version of the model XXX because there's the companion (ride on tool holder) which came out around 1948. In the cardboard box is the power polisher, also circa 1948. I don't see the cordwinder (not to say it isn't there) as well as the top of the spray gun, and vaporizer. The hose appears to be original, but there were no disposable bags used with this model (they were used with a conversion kit introduce many years later.) And from what I see, the upholstery tool looks like plastic, which Electrolux did use during WWII, and right after and was blue/gray (some dusting brushes also used plastic). As for the storage box, I recall them being oak, and stained very dark. This box was long enough for the vacuum cleaner with cordwinder, and tall enough for the companion(with attachments in place.) It was as wide as the machine, and a tray of the same dimensions of the box fit over the machine. This tray held the hose, and wands, though there was space for the basic attachments. The power polisher and so on would not fit in the box I've seen, so it tells me this one was custom made.

That's a very nice set -- the hose appears to be in perfect condition, although it may leak. But it would be great for display purposes. And I don't even have to tell y'all how excited I was to see the polisher!! But I wouldn't try to get it, I am pretty much set in terms of the Model XXX.
