You are indeed correct!

This is true…my Mother still has the Electrolux model S that was given to her from her Mom when my parents married in 1960! It is wonderfully light….but unfortunately doesn’t have the power port for the electric hose which I would like to have for using a power nozzle or sidekick. I do love using the S for it’s light weight…it’s wonderful for cleaning a staircase…fits on the steps and easy to lift up every few steps, but again, not as effective as a model L would be with a sidekick for thick carpeting on a staircase.  I assume the model R is about as heavy as the L as it is very similar, the bag door has an inner panel like the L but it clips on like the S instead of being hinged.  My Aunt and Uncle have the model R. It is one of the very few models I’ve never actually used but I did see my Aunt using hers.

The model S doesn’t even have a cord halo…you have to just wrap the cord around the machine body behind the handle between the handle and switch!

I bet the model T is quite light too! Never used one of those!
