I looked at the machine. Like most new uprights it has a heavy feel to it,no headlight and no hardwood floor tool. Suction at hose end seemed pretty good. Nice sleek looking machine.
seen it on qvc one nite...looks really nice but ive heard some say a little short on performance...went to lowes to see upclose...heavy-solid...but didnt try it....
At 10.25kg, it can't be a lightweight! I like the appearance of it, though, and it seems like it has some nice features. I'm sure if they sold them here, I'd buy one!
Helpfully, the QVC page has a .pdf file of the manual. Looks like quite a small dust compartment, and just a low efficiency cyclone. It's a pity Electrolux don't seem to be keeping up with their competitors in the cyclonics department; over here, Hoover, Vax, Bissell, Sanyo and LG all have multi-cyclonic systems now, based around Dyson's Root Cyclone design.
Has Consumer Reports tested this cleaner? Do they like it? And do they do any testing to see how stong suction stays as vacuums fill with dirt?
Thus far, CR hasn't tested this vacuum. Just looking at the maintenance required (from the pdf you've posted), it seems that everyone of my bagged vacuums is far more maintenance friendly/free. But maybe I'm just lazy!
I am with Jack on this one. I am not a bagless fan but If you want bagless get a Dyson. My Dyson is easy to empty and there is nothing to wash out. My Hoover Convertible bagless is a nightmare to empty and clean. I also have one of the early Famtoms and it was terible to empty and clean out the bin.
I just got my first 2 dysons and so far I love them. I also have a fantom cyclone xt and a fury and I think that they are pretty easy to clean out I have not had any trouble. however knowing bagless cleaners and how much dust that they leak the Dyson is the cleanest cleaner that I have ever used. I dont have any dust in the motor and it is about a yr old. I got them second hand and love em. however I do not get a lot of airflow out of it just plain raw suction and it is powerful. hopefully they last me a long time. but while I have it I think I will find out why they have very little to no airflow.
if anyone has info that would be great
thanks
Mike
