Electrolux made Sure Thing Filter bags in the late 90's. I prefer the 4 ply genuine bags over the Aerus Bags made today. I have had several issues with the 1 ply inner lining not being glued well enough and leaving just the blue part of the bag showing. I have brought this to Aerus's attention in the past, but they still do it. I would think leaving the blue bag exposed would affect filtration....

My question is how long are older bags good for? I bought some that were from the late 70's and I ripped one open before use to see how strong they were. Ripped very easy, so I didn't use them. Anyway, the Sure Thing vacuum bags seem thicker and I am using them. Used to use the IOTA bags.....Just don't want a problem to occur. The reason I am asking is that if they will last for awhile, I will shop Ebay for more. The bags before this were the Germgrabber...would they still be ok also?

Thanks for any input you can give me.......
