How does it work? Very well!!
I think the design of these rug tools is brilliant; definitely my favorite for suction-only rug cleaning. The broad side does a very respectable job considering there is no brush strip. The concentrator side works amazingly well. There is no "balancing" issue. It concentrates the suction for picking up stubborn bits that cling to the rug, (when you might be tempted to use the open end of the hose) and it makes cleaning lightweight scatter rugs possible....they don't get inhaled into the tool.
