Electrolux PN-1 wands
Several versions but never aluminum which was changed from steel about 1960? for rug/floor and other atts. The PN 1 seems to have first been seen on last AFs and very popular on Gs,but was in a seperate box and was not always sold(or shown). From the first G through tan of about 67 they used the one piece plastic wand that could break with hard use and abuse and sometimes changed to later wand. The comm CA used 2 steel wands with spring locks for the PN 1 which hung on back of att storage compartment when not in use. There was a one piece white steel wand that was used at one time but recalled for electrical safety concers if abused.(Seen here recently with a G)Then fron the tan G to the all new 1205 there was an all new telescopic wand(plastic upper, steel lower) with direct connect hose with swivel end that proved to have wear issues. Then back to 1205 with curved hose end and long sheath cord. All 1205 included the PN in the box and both customer and salesman considered it one vac with one price unlike the G($99) and PN 1 ($49)and PN sales increased. The second version was sheath, sheath cord, upper wand & lower wand that took a moment to assemble for demo. This was simplified in the Silverado era when lower wand quickly snapped in sheath. Then later 1205s used PN 2.An advantage with Elux that you didn't always see with others was being able to use 2 alum wands connected to PN wand for reaching high ceilings.
