Electrolux has sold both Sanitaire and Beam

Looks like Sanitaire has gone to Bissell and Beam has been sold to a Canadian company that also makes the duovac line of central vacuums, here is an article that talks about it.

It's depressing that Bissell bought Sanitaire. I could care less about Beam though. Never used any of Nuera Air's products before. But if they start making bagged units for Beam, then I'll start to listen.

Most Beam central vac units can be fitted with a bag, I did this with mine since I don't like emptying bagless units, other than water filtration vacs. It will be interesting to see what Electrolux comes out with, they have now sold off Beam, Sanitaire and Eureka. The Beam units are a bit expensive for what you get though, you can get power units that perform just as well at cheaper prices.
