Thank you Kevin! Yeah ive always wondered what that little graphic was meant to be on the Silverado logo too,,dont know.
Notice on the back of the card that introduces the Discovery Upright,,,they mention the "High Performance Rebuilds".
I bought a rebuilt 1205 in 1986 from the Lux salesman,,it was an excellent vacuum. It was all grey hamertone with lighter gray speckles in it. I remember at the time they also had Factory Rebuilt Model Gs and Model Ls. I could have my choice.
I think the 1205 was 200 dollars.
This 1205 did NOT come with a PN, or power hose in the box tho,,just the standard 3 Electrolux attachments, standard hose and 2 aluminum wands. The PN and Power Hose were still considered optional equipment.
I went to the Electrolux office to buy the 1205,,and asked if it came with a PN,, they said no,and wanted to sell me a NEW PN which at the time would have been the PN that went with the DIamond J,,and Power Hose for 250 dollars. I didnt have that kind of money,so the salesman sold me a used hose and PN2 for 50 dollars.
Wish i still had that 1205. Traded it all for a Model LE when they came out in around 1990. Im pretty sure it was around 300 dollars.
The salesman gave me 50 dollars off for the Rebuilt 1205 and PN. Shouldnt have done that, have always regretted it. That Model LE only lasted about 13 yrs. I bet that 1205 would still be going to this day.
