Hi Alex,

I have no recollection of seeing the actual weight measurements of the Model XXX or Model LX stated on Vacuumland or elsewhere. However, I came across an online preview of the 1954 Consumers' Research Annual Cumulative Bulletin which did. I am taking for granted that neither had a Companion attached.

So, do you know off the top of your head? I'll wait for your reply before I post the publication's data.

_______

Hi all,

Please post the actual weight/s of your favorite pre-1990 household upright, tank, and/or canister model/s—with and without its/their tools—for comparison. Some companies included them in their ads, but it seems most only used terms like "lightweight" or "easy to carry".

Also, take a guess as to what the heaviest and lightest models were.

Early Electrolux data.

Hi Paul:

I recall mentioning the weight of the LX way back around 2013. Based on my own tests the LX is twenty pouds, with cord winer and tools its 25.

If you find other info, please tell me.

Paul, way back in January, 2013 I rsponded to a question from Powernate, which became a huge Electrolux thread. That is # 19227, titled Lux model 30/XXX tools. It is devoted to the XXX, and the LX. Somewhere Imentioned the weight stripped down and with tools.

This is in the archives, and easy to find.

I'm glad you responded so quickly, Alex. I was slightly concerned that we'd miss each other's posts for awhile as we've done before.

I figured you'd probably have the knowledge, but I wanted to test you anyway. :) Thanks for the thread number from the archives. I look forward to reading through it.

Here's what the publication's measurements were (maybe the Companions were attached after all):

Hi Paul, it was just by chance that I saw this. I'm rarely online anymore. The 26 pounds sounds right, but by my various tests this is the complete unit. My tests are the basic unit at 20 pounds.
