Someone does already have the Ejection System in action, posted on YouTube,, its about 10 seconds long,,,sorry i dont know how to post a link here, but if you go to YouTube, and type in "Electrolux 60 Ejection" , it should come up. Someone named "johnnyb59c" is who posted it on Jan.8,2008.

Michael, that is a beautiful XXX!!! The bumper on the rug nozzle looks perfect!!

The Canadian Tool Saddle

Electrolux called it The Kompanion and it was painted brown to match the Z57. The spring loops are thicker nickle-plated steel stock than the American plain tempered steel loops.

The Companion clips to the bag door latch fittings on the 57. No clip for the crevicetool.

It was an available option in 1953 so you could have gotten one for your earlier 55 or 30. Kinda scarce and I have only the one. My latest Z57 above from the Stratford Lady last week has the later all chrome flip-down cordwinder.

I've included a few additional tools from the 1939-50 Model 30 and 50 series Loafs. The correct woven hose is a brown/beige hose that matches the 'tweed' pattern leatherette. Until I find one I pair up the red Z8X hose rather than the two-tone gray common to the 30 & 50.

Note on suction regulators...I don't think the ladies used or liked it much. Every CanLux hose I've found invariably has the valve ring Scotch, Electrical or Masking taped in place and of course I clean it up to restore function.

Michael, I second the motion -- that's a gorgeous XXX! And you have the original hose. WOW!!

Dave, nice Z57s. I have the lovely maroon and blue Z55 with wheel set and cord winder but don't have the "Kompanion" for it.

Wonderful pictures Dave

Nice to see the word kompanion etched into the tool holder. Thank you for posting them.

To the member who posted the youtube Model LX ejection process, sorry, I couldn't find it. several nice clips including my friend Charles Richard, but no Electrolux LX and no ejection thingy either.

Are there any Electrolux collectors out there who were salesmen around the time that model was sold. Love to talk to any old timer about the home demo of that model.
