Electrolux carbon filter

Anyone use the carbon after bag filters in the metal electrolux's? I have two im thinking of having rebuilt and wanted to know of any advantages/disadvantages on the carbon filters.

Not yet but...

I too am considering them because we have a dog and the bag gets to smelling long before it is filled enough to change it. So, it will be interesting to see if this thread gets any bites.

I put one in Mom's Lux Legacy.
I'm sorry, but I can't really comment on its effectiveness. I only got over there once a week, and that was before social distancing. Now, I haven't been in the house in a couple of months, at least.
When I was visiting regularly, I rarely used the vacuum. Mom can't use it at all any more, and I don't think the folks that live there to assist her use it much either.
There's a little cordless Dyson that I think they use occasionally, and one of them will sweep the hard floors more often than not.
Sorry I can't bring more to the table. If and when I get to visit there again, I'll try to give it an evaluation.
