VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Hello all,

After going through what I did with my daughters Electrolux model 7024 Oxygen 3, I'd never buy one. The sumo board did go out on it, but it had a strain gauge handle switch problem also. I've also heard horror stories about the Ultra One.

In fact, I've not seen one on display in any vacuum shop, or big box/department store here in my area. Maybe Sears still has them. they sure are not up to the quality of machines that were built in Vastervik Sweden.

As for Electrolux USA, they became Aerus back in 2004. They still make the Guardian line in Texas.

Electrolux Home products USA is in South Carolina. They also distribute Laundry products. They do have a plant there. I do believe they assemble the front load wave touch washers and dryers. It is a subsidiary of AB Electrolux in Stockholm.

Their bid to buy General Electric major appliances division in Louisville Kentucky has been stopped citing anti-trust issues. I couldn't be happier about that. Electrolux has enough market share in Canada and the states with Frigidaire, and Electrolux Icon.

Axel Werner Gren would roll in his grave.
