Is this a Commercial machine-looks commercial to me.The "BOX" instead of a bag.Like the compartment that can hold tools and such. Can this be used with a powernozzle?Never seen this before.Kinda neat!

This is a commercial grade vacuum intended to be used to groom horses, not meant for regular vacuuming. I have one that needs motors (mine has seen kinder days, as well as having been repainted once) and just has the large upholstery tool looking attachment. The box inside isn't for storage, its part of the dirt containment setup. The air is directed into the box at an angle like on a Compact, making the air swirl around in the box just like it does in a Compact bag, leaving as much dirt there as it can, and then it has the cloth bag behind that. They have 2 motors in series, individually switched. I suppose one could find a way to attach a PN to it, but I don't plan on doing that with mine, I want to get some new motors, and maybe see about setting up a disposable bag in it, with the intention of creating a very good and powerful bag cleaning vacuum for my cloth bag vacuums. I hate cleaning bags, this could make it easy and it could easily inhale the complete contents of lets say my Hoover 305 Special's bag as well as vacuum the bag clean of all the dust without be having to breathe any of it.

Now I get it--an animal grooming vacuum-namely for horses.Pretty neat-so the machine isn't designed for general home of office vacuuming.Guess you need to own a horse or large dog to appreciate the machine. And think the machine would be easy to wash out so as to get rid of odors.

Horse Vacuum/JFK historical trivia

I read many subjects including history/political.One JFK book mentions that as President Kennedy was reviewing personal expenses paid by the accountant he stopped and questioned a sum of several hundred dollars for a horse vacuum. At the time they had built a home in VA and Jackie K had been around horses since childhood and was teaching Caroline to ride.
I think this vac offered a set of regular atts for cleaning tack rooms, farm office, etc.

Probably was sone sort of barrel style vacuum that came with attachments for grooming the horses as well as keeping the stable (at least the areas with non-dirt floors) clean, makes sense to also be able to use it as a regular vacuum.
