This is the powered brush from the $25 Starvation Army Electrolux "shop vac". I will let the images tell the story, except to add that the bottom housing and cover over the brush roll were both hosed out outside on the lawn (fertilizer!) cuz I ain't putting anything that had puke and/or cat crap coating it in my sink.
Look how clean the brush came out! I was about to toss it in the trash when the brain cell said, hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I wash wooden cooking utensils and they last years, so WTF. Sometimes the Desert Tortoises surprises himself.
Dig the funky optics for the headlight bulb. So far this brush doesn't impress me. A Panasonic/Kenmore/Hayden/Nutone/Centec head is easier to take apart, the brush gets closer to the edge and has much fewer parts inside.
