Looks like nice vacs above.Would be typical to have some suction loss from older braided hose.If so would be easily replaced.

Also-Canister--All Olympia and early Silverado motors were same with continuous improvements.Then later Silverado and Diamond Jubilee had same motor that that could have bearing and armature problems until it to was greatly improved.The Sidekick was introduced after first DJ and Discovery.Was optional or could be added to previous models.Soon standard on deluxe canister and upright.

Upright--The belt/clutch seen on the Dyson upright is the closest we have seen to the original Elux upright but the Elux used 2 gear belts that almost NEVER have problems while the Dyson has smooth belts that ALWAYS stretch and wear with large repair bill to follow.There was also a 3 wire commercial Elux upright with longer cord and spacer at upper cord hook to hold it.
