Ok, too much talk of the Compact in its glory, will have to keep my eye open for newer machine, maybe like the one I had last or the last of this design Tristar maybe? Just missed a nice machine on craigslist 20 minutes away, 98 I think. $200.

Those Eureka built power nozzles

That Compact and Rainbow both used cleaned great, but are very hard to push and do wobble, The Compact Power Brush they made themselves a few years later is much better in my opinion.

Power

With the suction of compact makes any power nozzle perform well.
I bought a Wessell werk power nozzle and holy $hit it's got King Kong on steroids power.
The key to it though is compact makes everything better. The pure suction is amazing.

I have3 to agree the PN Joint is not the best , true but whit the suction and air flow of Compact canister it compensate for it big time .In my case my PN never gave me any issues new belt ,motor ,wires, brushroll .But i am thinking of upgrading to a Lindhaus or other modern pn but i still go back to my Compact turbo brush.
