Hi! Some might know I have a Dyson DA001....Ive had it a while but never worked on it as such till the other day. I totaly stripped it down and washed it all out, the motor housing was black and now theres a huge black carbon dust stain on my bedroom carpet...oh well! There are a few pics from the stripdown/rebuild which are attached below. All works well and looks new now polished, suction is better than ever! Taking it apart and rebuilding it was somewhat eaiser than I expected, I'd never attempted anything like this before! Upon testing it I was very nervous, but it all worked so I was happy 
Good job all round, got to do a Lux at some point!
