Hi folks,

Looking for attachments that will fit my SM6 Dormeyer mixer. There are several variations of juicers, etc. out there and I don't know what I should be looking for.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Miss June

This Probably Isn't What You Want to Hear, But....

The juicer you need is not easy to find complete with all its parts. It's sometimes referred to by collectors as the "hatbox" juicer; the photo below will make it clear why.

You will probably have to buy another mixer to get the juicer; for some reason, these seem to turn up most often in a deal where they're included with a mixer. I have never, in many years of looking, ever found a complete one for sale by itself.

A complete one will include:

- The juicer body (the round "hatbox" part)
- The reamer (the piece you press the fruit against)
- The strainer screen (sits inside the "hatbox" part to strain seeds out, often missing. It is not visible in the photo below)
- The drain tube (missing 99 and 44/100s percent of the time)

This is what you're looking for. And good luck to you - the only reason I know so much about the damn things is because I can't find one in good enough shape to go with my Dormeyer Princess.

Strainer Photo:

Here's a photo of the juicer with the strainer removed. The strainer is the round, perforated plastic piece with the big hole in the middle and the little lifting tab. It goes into the strainer body before the reamer is put in place; it sits in the bottom of the strainer body as you juice.

Again, good luck!

Note to Self:

No more detailed answers with pics for folks with a post count of one.

You're welcome, Miss June.

Miss June,

I saw the EXACT same Dormeyer mixer today in a thrift store.no bowls, no attachments, but rusty and dust to spare! At $25 it stayed there with the $15 1960s GE rotisserie oven that didn't rotisserie.
