Does anyone own one of these Premiers?

My grandparents had one of these, but I think theirs might have been a GE. They used it at their flea market booth since they had put carpet down in it and after they got out of doing that they brought it home in addition the the Hoover 61, Wards F&G and the Hoover Silmline they had out there. They gave me the Slimline and my parents didn't initially welcome me collecting vacuums so they threw it away. I don't know what happened to the other vacuums that were out there, but I'm sure they met a similar fate. My parents eventually warmed up to me collecting vacuums as long as I wasn't just bringing trash home, but I was still upset about the Slimline as I haven't found another just like it. I did eventually find a 61 like they had, but that GE Upright still eludes me. I'll find one like it one day just like I'll find a Green and Brown Slimline though. Thanks for sharing that Premier though!

I have two of them. One is a Premier and one is a GE. They use the Hand Held MV1 motor with an extended belt drive shaft - so there is little suction. More of a carpet sweeper with suction than a vacuum cleaner. It was no Dial-A-Matic that's for sure. The plastic gets very brittle. I don't use mine and only show it during the vacuum convention.

That's a style of Premier that I have not seen before. I have no clue how that one performs.

However, I used to have this one. I don't recall the model number. Another collector currently has it. We kinda switch off who has it for a while. LOL

Really great machine and fun to use actually. It has a lot of power to it and cleans very well. It is also two speed from what I remember. There are levers on the base for reducing suction, changing height or using attachments. I have never had the attachment set so I don't know what it is like with tools.

I seen that auction on eBay while passing through search results, the way he framed the shot with the bright neon umbrella lit up by the sun in his auction photo caught my eye immediately.

Ebay

The listing is from Ken I'm guessing from England. He has or had a few rarer machines for sale. Iirc a green sunbeams cannisters and a Hoover 913-918 with a little bit of green paint in it with a shakeout bag.

This Premier is a wonderful example of how Premier took the old General Electric models and helped continue their legacy! A copy of the Consumer Reports Best rated upright from the 70"s and the avocado bag and handle accents prove it! Made in England? Good old Us of A made!
A good rule of thumb is to wait before answering if you do NOT know the answer!

What is the amp rating on this vacuum?

I have found I like the performance of direct air uprights over the machines with a live hose for floors.
