Attachment Rack

Doug, I have that same vacuum with the Shetland name only and a SCM isignia on it. Was that Smith Corona Manufacturing logo, same as the typewriter company? I got a bonus with mine, it has the matching blue vibra-beat rug nozzle, didn't even know they had one.

If I remember the dates correctly the Lewyt name was bought by Shetland Mfg in 1962 after the companies bankruptcy. Shetland Mfg was, in turn, bought by Smith Corona Marchand in 1967. (Yep the typewriter co) The blue vibrabeat is hard to find. There seem to be more of the white ones out there.

I have never run across that but I wouldn't be surprised. The accessory holder on this one can be removed by taking out two screws.
