There was a thread on this from 2008, but there’s a possibility that some collectors still could have some defective Turbo Tools. Luckily, I don’t have one and my turbo tools have never exploded. Dirt Devil likely doesn’t offer repair kits anymore and the solution now is to get a replacement. The link below has information about the recall, including the models affected.

I never really liked those turbo brushes honestly, they always did a terrible job for me. The only turbo brush I really like that only comes with one Dirt Devil is the RugRat, which is the one that's specifically designed for RVs', boats, etc. But they can also fit for all of Dirt Devil's central vac models and for all of their other portable models as well, you just need to get a special adapter for some of them.
