Hi All.

Just doing som Amazon surfing and came across a fairly glowing review of this Dirt Devil model by our friend Tom Gasko some time ago. Tom does this machine still deserve and hold up to your impressions? I'm interested in one possibly and have a few questions:

1. Is the hose sufficient in length?
2. How is the filtration for allergy sufferers like me?
3. Is there any form of suction control so that why I dust the tools won't plant themselves on the surface I'm dealing with?

Any other thoughts or experiences are appreciated! !

Or I may breakdown for a Wonder! Does the non dirt sensor power nozzle still have the metal brushroll?

Dirt Devils= Bad Filtration

I keep getting constant reviews on the Dirt Devil machines that the filter smelled like crap, I told them to replace it, still had that problem. I recently found out the 90% of the time, the Dirt Devil "MicroFresh" filters has the same filtration opacity has a grocery bag and pillow. I would recommend the Bagless versions, unless you like cleaning out the cup every 10 minutes you clean.

The Power Reach bagless has a HEPA filter cartridge, not just an electrostatic filter, after the motor. The machine has a variable suction control. The power nozzle has a wooden brush roller, and its narrow, so long hair will wrap around it. The machine is multi-cyclonic so it really keeps almost all the dust away from the pre-motor filter. I used it for a month then moved on to other machines. The hose is OK in length (I like longer hoses - but 6 1/2 feet is sufficient).

The Wonder/Prima can he bought with the compact power nozzle (similar to Miele's 217 but with a better brush roller), or the full size power nozzle with steel brush roller (two sets of replaceable brushes), or the full size power nozzle with three rows of soft brushes and dirt sensor. The dirt sensor model is cool, but to me, the light going on and off constantly as I'm cleaning is annoying (this is just my opinion - others love the dirt sensor light). The vast majority of people buy the full size power nozzle with double brush strips (we call it the mid line design). Collectors who like the 'top of the line' best of the best will go for the dirt sensor model (our most expensive offering).
