Hey
I have a question. I ran a few airflow tests yesterday.
My sentria was 132 about my tradition (new carbon brush bearings fan totally tuned up) ran 126 128 cfm. My royal backpack vacuum ran 118cfm 560 ran about 105 average. I imagine my d80 would run close to 115. So I looked at all armatures from cr to de are the same. I know royal let you drop in motor of your choice. My question is could you put a cr motor and armature in d80. I know carbon brush holders are maybe 1␀ bigger and I'd bore out hole to fit them. If you use all correct wiring coil and a correct switch could this be done. I don't know if the armature is much faster or rounder I think depth you would have to use a amodel fan use spacers accordingly. You would have same motor Kirby used through diamond edition and amps are 6 nozzle 7 hose.
I know d80 suction is almost unbeatable with 13 in nozzle. I don't know what cfm it would pull. I'd guess close to 125 130. Just a thought if anyone knows it would be appreciated.
