I got this today at the thrift store for $8 and don't know bout the sound of the motor, sounds unhealthy. Anyone got a idea of this machine? What year is this and is it rare?

The 113 in the model nunber indicates it was made by Emerson.
I'd say around the late 90s or early to mid 2000s. My grandpa bought one like that to vacuum out the cars. Some of these were called "Clean N Carry" vacs.
