Serve with garlic butter toast and some cold pasta salad. Pork loin gratin with eggplant and zucchini and provolone. It was just delicious. Julia and Martha would approve. Ina would just be eating and shaking her head yes.
We had one growing up. My dad got it for my mom one Christmas. She used it a lot. We had that dish and the larger dutch oven. In 2015 they were getting ready to move in with my sister, I asked about it and my mom told me it stopped working years ago. I would have taken it.
I don't have the Electromatic, but I am currently a bit cuckoo for Corning Ware!
Does that use the 10 inch skillet/casserole?
If so, I've acquired two of those already. I just baked some fish for supper yesterday in one of them.
My grandmother started collecting CW in the mid sixties. She had everything they made and loved all of it. When she finally reached critical mass she had grandpa take a picture of her standing with her collection. Any leftover food cooked in her Corning went right into her other favorite collection, her Tupperware "Millionaire Line!"
