Hey everyone.. I have a new machine in my possession! I got it at Goodwill for 21.95. Its a concept one.. I took it apart cleaned it and installed a new bag.. belt but I still need the brush strips replaced.. any recommendations.. I was going to take it to a vac shop and they would grease the bearings and replace the brush strips for 12.99 a good deal?

Hey I noticed you are from Irving, TX. I used to travel from Virginia to Texas for my job and I had an apartment in Irving in the beautiful "Las Colinas" area (right between Dallas and Irving). I love Texas! I wish I was still working on that job assignment cuz I miss Dallas. What a wonderful city!

P.S. (It gets just a little hot during the summer though...I once got into my car and temperature said 117..ouch!)

HAHA

That is too funny! It's a small world isn't it?

Ok, I used to live on McArthur Blvd. in the Oakwood Grand Venetian Apartments (right next to the bridge where McArthur goes over top of highway 114).

I worked at the Allstate Insurance building that is about 5 minutes away next to the entrance of Dallas/Forth Worth Airport.

Irving and Dallas are such beautiful places! I also am very fond of San Antonio and the "River Walk!"

Did you end up taking the Concept to the vac shop for the servicing you mentioned above?

Not yet.. I'll probably just buy the brush strips and do it myself to save some dough.. I need to also get new bulbs for the headlight since they are burned out. But it is an awesome machine!!!

Eric I'm glad you are able to find brush strips for your Hoover. I am desperately searching for some brush strips for a Hoover Power Nozzle I have but every vacuum store I ask they say they can't get Hoover replacement parts anymore since.....TTI. What a bummer!
