I went to my local thrift store today and saw this. It's a direct air shark. Never knew that shark made one. They want $20 for it. The base of it is cracked. Dose anyone know anything about these and should I go back for it?

If say get It!

I never seen one before but the name sounds familiar and it a bagged shark so it has to be rare.

I have had one of those for a few years, I think another collector gave it to me. I haven't fired it up for a long time, but remember it being a decent performer similar to an Oreck. I remember trying unsuccessfully to find bags for it, but a Kenmore canister bag 5055 I believe fits it, that's what I used. I'd pick it up just for it's uniqueness but ask them to lower the price due to the cracked base, and no bag availability.

It definitely looks like the overall style (apart from the weird oval shaped bag door) is designed the same way as Orecks. I wish someone put a video up on youtube of one I am curious as to what they sound like. Those are rare shark machines.

I ran out of time yesterday to come back for it but going to go back today and hope it's still their witch it probably is. Quite excited to get it and see how it works. This probably going to be my only shark in my collection

It seems like someone here was just recently talking about some rare Shark upright....wonder if it was this one? Something about it being the first vacuum Shark made or something?

Funnily enough I seen the Shark Euro Pro X handheld version of this vac at Goodwill in january, it sat there for 2 months before it was sold, and then funnily enough, a knockoff called the "Orca" took its place. strange times!

Rick, yours came from me.
Yes those are very rare now. Commercial? I dont believe so but I coumd be wrong. I had a hard time parting with mine but I was happy to gift it to an Oreck guy lol

I never seen anything like this before! I’m sure is rare! But I would say it’s around the early 2000’s.

Cool video!

Ialways did figure these would sound like Orecks. Thanks for showing it off. I did not know you had a youtube account, I will subscribe.

Thanks for the subscribe. I don't normally post videos on it as I don't really have time. I did have a Instagram that I only post vacuum stuff if you are interested. Its evil vac man I post weekly on that.
