VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Good assortment of some of the more popular vintage vacs! What are their model numbers? The 89 could be either a ZB89 or 89E; the Discovery II had 3 successive model numbers as upgrades were made, and I think Compacts model numbers were made in more than one color.

Belive it or not the discovery i  got i na  yard sale  for 20 $   i think its the first series  due  to it saying  Discovery  2.

My  89 is  a zb 89   il double  check   but my  cxl  is a  50  anniversary   tristar freebe  0$ .

My Compact is  a  C8  but the zb  hose was shot so  it  hose went to the  zb 89 and i put a electric hose on the c8.

Sweet collection & awesome prices! If you want parts for the ZB89 & possibly others check out Canadian collector Doug Smith's website that also has his contact information: smithcollection.altervista.org

Forgot to mention that the manufacturer's ratings stamp on the DII is on the hood and can be viewed when the handle is lowered to the ground.

Well that's a relief, and sorry about being pushy about the asbestos thing. I was just worried that you were at risk for being exposed to asbestos. I've also got anxiety issues, so that's mainly why I was worried. Anyways, enjoy your new vacs!
