thanks GOTTAHAVEAHOOVE !
And Garreth,
I also am planning to find a small hand-held buffering machine, possibly NOT ROTO-ORBITAL ( cause I have tried and cannot control them ) in order to be able to make machines shine without dismantling them totally. I suppose the ones used by car-repair shops should fit. But first I will have to understand what pastes/products to use and other suitable products for this kind of job, as I don't want to make damages.
Few years ago I polished some machines very well using BRASSO polisher and 0000 iron-wool. The result was astonishing at the moment but the machines soon oxidated and - finally - some of them became even worse then before restoration, dark spots appearing eveywhere. So I suppose I will have to find out also a "finish product" which will avoid future oxidation on these alloy-aluminium leagues and will preserve the glittering shine for a reasonable time....
