I've been researching the possibility of repairs to "pot" metal and aluminium, as my next project will require such repairs. I too had heard that both of these metals were not repairable, and up until about a month ago, thought that I would have to find another machine to sacrifice the trim pieces. Then I discovered Muggyweld. I have not tried it yet, I am just about to order the kit. If you type in muggyweld on your browser, there are some videos you can watch that hopefully will put your mind at ease. I'm looking forward to working with the stuff. I contacted my Chrome shop, and the repairs can be easily re-chromed. I am going to repair, and have re-chromed the runners on the "Martyversal" (The rocket Universal). The design of those runners made them very susceptible to damage. It will be a while, but when I get the machine done, I'll post pics. Just thought I would let you know about "Muggyweld".
